I am really interested in joing the Young Promoters and have sent various emails but haven’t received a reply and was wondering if you could give me any information about how to join?

Hi there Erin. Andrea here, one of the Young PromotERs. Right now we’ve been all over the place as the old leader of YP moved to Edinburgh. What you can do is email Charlotte Allan, who is our working leader right now, and also runs community drama within the theatre. Here’s her email: charlotte.allan@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk

Basically every so often we’ll email YPs about meetings where we meet up (obviously) and discuss events coming up that we want to promote and how we want to do that. At the moment, we’re working on a project to coincide with Visible Fictions’ “The Hunted”- a new show having its première at EPT at the end of the month. If you’re interested in coming along to our event, to get a feel for what kinds of things we want to do to get young people interested in theatre just search “Join the hunt at Eastwood” on facebook, where you’ll find information. Tell your friends! Hope this helps and you get a better reply (I’ll notify Charlotte to check her emails for your info!)

Andrea x
