Come along to a spectacular Sunday show with author, performer and all round entertainer Alan Bissett. Alan will be reading from his novel Pack Men, described by Irvine Welsh as “A landmark in Scottish fiction. A unique and special novel. I honestly haven’t read anything as impressive as this from a Scottish writer in yonks”. Alan’s plays have been staged across the UK since 2009 and he has performed his own shows at The Edinburgh Festival fringe and the Citizen’s Theatre among many others to critical acclaim so not to be missed!
The Ching Room and The Confidant were both first produced in co-production between Oran Mor and Traverse Theatre; Turbo Folk, nominated for Best New Play at the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland 2010, also premiered at Oran Mor; Pinocchio was a direct commission for Arches Theatre Company, and The Moira Monologues, self-produced by Alan and director Sacha Kyle, premiered at the 2009 Aye Write festival in Glasgow before going on to run at the Citizens Theatre, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
