Yiddish Song Project Factfile: Phil Alexander (piano, accordian)

10 11 2010

“Folk music is in the air here…”

Happiest leading the action from the middle, Phil Alexander’s driving piano and creative insight is the glue that brings Yiddish Song Project together.
Phil’s musical experiences range from Berlin Cabaret to contemporary classical, but his main love is klezmer (5 years in a Jewish wedding band planted a seed that continues to grow) and his whirlwind of talent speaks for itself!

Watch the videos below for a taste of what to expect from Phil in Yiddish Song Project with clips from his performances on piano and accordion with some of the many other bands he’s involved with: Moishe’s Bagel, Eliza Carthy’s band and the internationally acclaimed Salsa Celtica.
